We are doing this year’s All-Music Service a little differently! Rather than having a professional guest musician, this year’s theme will be “Voices from Within”. We are hoping to include people like YOU from within our midst, who love music enough to share it with others! If you are not used to singing in front of others, that will probably make your musical offering even more powerful! You might decide to share a little bit about why a particular song is meaningful to you, and then sing or play a section of it a cappella (without accompaniment). Alternatively, you could perform a full vocal song or instrumental piece as a solo/duet…or lead a sing along!
Feel free to think outside the box, and please let me know by Monday, April 13th at the latest if you’d like to add something to the service. My email address is spoonsforthepeople@gmail.com. Please include your song choice and what you’d like for accompaniment (options include self-accompaniment, pre-recorded accompaniment, having me accompany, or no accompaniment). If you are feeling uncertain, I’m happy to provide support or coaching. Also, if you’d like to sing with the CUUF choir for this service, simply show up to the ONE rehearsal beforehand! (April 30th @ 4:00 PM at AUMC).
